2023年4月7日下午,首都师范大学附属育新学校社会性科学议题学习合作研究项目研讨会在中学部图书馆会议室举办。SSI-L项目负责人、中国基础教育质量监测协同创新中心科学提升部主任林静,项目学科指导专家组组长、北京师范大学第二附属中学物理学科特级教师彭梦华,项目学科指导专家、北京师范大学《化学教育》专职副主编、编辑部主任朱玉军到校,与首都师范大学附属育新学校唐枫主任、曹学龙主任、初一项目组成员就本校课程设计与撰写开展了指导与讨论。

会议首先由唐枫介绍初一项目组在课程方案设计过程中遇到的问题,如议题方案整体设计框架应包含的内容、如何规范撰写课程实施、目前课程活动设计如何改进等。

专家们肯定了课程方案的可行性,就育新课题组提出的问题一一进行了解答。朱玉军从宏观的课程设计框架和微观的活动设计框架两个层面对课程方案进行了具体指导,并为开设第一堂课给出改进建议,指出从具体案例和真实资料出发,激发学生疑问和学习兴趣,引导学生探索关于“酒”的奥秘或科学道理,进而讨论出本课程的大致内容。

林静指出开展课程设计时,如何辨析课程立意与学习目标之间的差异与关联,从而更好地构建星形图与可评价的学习目标;在实践过程中,项目组可以梳理并思考“跨学科课程的开发与运作机制”,为后续跨学科课程开发与基于跨学科教学的教师专业发展总结经验;在具体课程实施中如何以学生为主体,充分调动学生思维的主动性,并确定科学思维与实践的重点学习目标,促进学生思维与能力的发展。

彭梦华建议项目组提前备课,集体上课,体会课堂的变化;在活动和内容设计上可适当扩展,可增加动手实验活动,例如测量酒的密度。

社会性科学议题学习(SSI-L)项目是我校对跨学科课程的进一步探索,旨在通过合作研究,促进课程开发,助力教师成长,引领学生全面发展。此次研讨为初一项目组的继续推进提出了改进建议。相信在各位专家的指导下,育新学校社会性科学议题学习项目能够进一步顺利开展。

On the afternoon of April 7, 2023, the SSI-L cooperation and research project seminar was held in the library conference room in the middle school department at Yuxin School Attached to Capital Normal University. Lin Jing, head of the SSI-L Project Team and director of the Science Development Department of the Collaborative Innovation Center of Assessment for Basic Education Quality, Peng Menghua, leader of the SSI-L project subject guidance expert team, and a  Special-Rank teacher of the Physics Department at the Second High School Attached to Beijing Normal University, and Zhu Yujun, project disciplinary guidance expert, full-time deputy editor-in-chief and director of the editorial department of  Chemistry Education of Beijing Normal University came to the school and provided guidance and discussion on the school’s curriculum design and writing with Tang Feng and Cao Xuelong, Directors of the Curriculum Center of Yuxin School Attached to Capital Normal University, and members of the Grade 7 project team.

The meeting started with Tang Feng introducing the problems encountered by the Grade 7 project team during the curriculum design process, for instance, the content the overall framework design for issue planning should contain, how to standardize the writing of curriculum implementation, and how to improve the present curriculum activity design.

The experts affirmed the feasibility of the curriculum scheme and answered questions raised by the Yuxin project team. Zhu Yujun provided specific guidance on the framework of curriculum design from both macro- and micro-level, and gave suggestions on improving the First Lesson, indicating that starting from specific cases and real-world information to stimulate students’ questioning and interests in learning, guiding students to explore the mystery or scientific principles of “alcohol”, and then discussing the  general content of the curriculum is important.

Lin Jing pointed out that during the process of curriculum design, the project team should distinguish the difference and connection between the curriculum conception and learning objectives, to better construct a star chart of SSI teaching framework and assessable learning objectives. In practice, the project team could sort out and think about the “development and operation mechanism of interdisciplinary curriculums”, and sum up experiences for the follow-up development of interdisciplinary curriculums and professional development of teachers based on interdisciplinary teaching. In the implementation of the specific curriculum, it should be focused on how to take students as the main body, fully mobilize the initiatives of students’ thinking, and determine the key learning objectives of scientific thinking and practice, thus promoting the development of students’ thinking and ability.

Peng Menghua suggested that the project team should prepare  classes in advance, take classes together, and experience the changeability in the classroom; the design of activities and content could be appropriately expanded, and hands-on experimental activities could be added, such as measuring the density of wine.

The SSI-L project is a further exploration of the interdisciplinary curriculum at our university, aiming to promote curriculum development, help teachers grow, and lead students to develop in a comprehensive way through collaborative research. This seminar provided suggestions on improvement and advancement for the follow-up implementation of the Grade 7 project. It was believed that with the guidance of the experts, the SSI-L project at Yuxin School can be carried forward successfully.
