2023年12月18日~12月29日,北京师范大学“社会性科学议题学习(SSI-L)”项目组在两所北京师范大学基础教育发展管理部“撷英计划”合作校,即北京师范大学附属实验中学、北京师范大学亚太实验学校,继续开展集体备课、课堂观察以及课后讨论等一系列教学研究活动。

北师大亚太实验学校于12月22日实施了本学期最后一次SSI-L课程,合作校教师设计教学活动让学生认识热传递现象,进一步为后续科学建模实践活动做好铺垫。项目办成员继续随堂听课,课后成员进一步提炼、总结了本学期课程实施情况,并展望了新学期课程的开展计划。北师大附属实验中学也于12月25日和12月27日分别在两个教学班实施了本学期最后一次SSI-L课程,继续引导学生基于数据的科学论证。项目办成员深入课堂,并与合作校教师开展集体备课、课后研讨活动。北师大附属实验中学特级教师王韬莅临指导,主要针对如何组织小组合作学习做出指导,提出了明确组内分工和每一个人的任务、控制好任务时间、采取大扣小加的奖惩机制等建议。

本学期“撷英计划”两所合作校的SSI-L教学研究活动落下帷幕,期待新学期在项目负责人的带领以及项目办成员和合作校教师的通力合作下取得新的成效与进展。

From December 18th to December 29th, 2023, the Beijing Normal University Socioscientific Issues-based Learning Project office continued to carry out a series of teaching and research activities, such as collective course preparation, classroom observations, and after-class discussions, in two partner schools of the BNU Basic Education Development and Management Department’s Xieying Program — the Experimental High School Attached to Beijing Normal University, and the Asia-Pacific Experimental School of Beijing Normal University.

The Asia-Pacific Experimental School of Beijing Normal University finished the last SSI-L class of this semester on December 22. Teachers from the partner school designed teaching activities to help students understand heat transfer phenomena and further pave the way for future practice activities on scientific modeling. Members of the project office continued to attend the class for observation. After the class, they further refined and summarized the SSI-L course implementation for this semester and made expectations to the course development plan for the new semester. The Experimental High School Attached to Beijing Normal University also finished the last SSI-L class of this semester in two teaching classes on December 25 and December 27 respectively. The course continued to guide students in data-based scientific argumentation. Members of the project office attended the classes and had collective course preparation and after-school discussions with teachers from the partner school. Wang Tao, a special-rank teacher at the Experimental High School Attached to Beijing Normal University, came to offer guidance, mainly on how to organize group cooperative learning. She put forward several suggestions, including a clear division of labor and clarification of each student’s tasks within the group, better control of task time, and a reward and punishment mechanism of higher deduction points and lower bonus points, etc.

The SSI-L teaching and research activities of the two partner schools of the Xieying Program have come to an end for this semester. It is expected to achieve new results and progress in the new semester under the leadership of the project leader and the joint efforts between members of the project office and teachers from the partner schools.
