“社会性科学议题学习”项目“撷英计划”组期末工作会议顺利举行
The Xieying Program of the BNU SSI-L Project Successfully Held its End-of-Semester Work Meeting

2024年1月24日18:30—20:30,北京师范大学“社会性科学议题学习”项目“撷英计划”组在腾讯会议室举行期末工作会,总结本学期SSI-L《全球变暖》课程教学工作情况、存在的问题,并交流下学期工作计划。项目办成员与两所合作校团队教师参与本次会议,SSI-L项目负责人、中国基础教育质量监测协同创新中心科学提升部主任林静主持会议。

北京师范大学附属实验中学王成老师代表学校教师团队汇报,以内容为轴线总结了教学中课堂组织、教学活动、教师教学组织等方面取得的成果及存在的问题。王老师借助教学影像,对日常课后研讨中未发现的问题进行了细致的分析,并提出了改进思考,对本学期在课堂组织、教学环境构建、小组学习方面的经验进行了总结。在下学期工作计划中,备课教案中详细呈现了教学内容、教学目标、教学过程、活动形式及涉及的各学科知识点等内容。实验中学孙翊斐与李梦豪两位老师也做了简要的总结。

北京师范大学亚太实验学校团队陆友倩、武慧娜、王阿慧三位老师依次总结了本学期在教学方式改变、课程设计及学生收获方面的内容,教师和学生已经适应并喜欢上了翻转课堂的教与学形式,下学期的重点放在活动细化、学生思维发展上。

随后SSI-L项目负责人林静老师与两所合作校教师对下学期工作细节展开交流,指出本学期在教学方式转变、科学论证、科学建模等教学方面取得了进展,下学期要深化科学论证、科学建模的教学,分析学生话语来引导学生科学思维发展。

通过会议,两所合作校教师也相互借鉴好的想法与做法,对后续工作的开展也更清晰了。

From 18:30 to 20:30 on January 24, 2024, the Xieying Program of the Beijing Normal University Socioscientific Issues-based Learning Project held its end-of-semester work meeting via Tencent Meeting. The meeting summarized the teaching progress of the SSI-L course “Global Warming” and problems that existed during the semester, and discussed work plans for the next semester. Members of the project office and teachers from two partner schools participated in this meeting. Lin Jing, head of the SSI-L project team and director of the Science Development Department of the Collaborative Innovation Center of Assessment for Basic Education Quality at Beijing Normal University, presided over the meeting.

Wang Cheng, a teacher from the Experimental High School Attached to Beijing Normal University, delivered a presentation on behalf of the school’s project team. Taking teaching content as the major axis, he summarized the achievements and problems existed in class organization, teaching activities, and other aspects of teaching. With the support of teaching videos, Wang gave a detailed analysis of the problems that were not discovered in daily after-class discussions, and offered his thinking for further improvements. He also summarized his experience in class organization, teaching environment construction, and group learning. In the school’s work plan for the next semester, the course plan presented in detail the teaching content, teaching objectives, teaching process, activity forms and learning points of each subject involved. Two teachers from the Experimental High School, Sun Yifei and Li Menghao, also gave a brief summary.

Next, three teachers from the Asia-Pacific Experimental School of Beijing Normal University project team, Lu Youqian, Wu Huina, and Wang Ahui, took turns and summarized the changes in teaching methods, curriculum design, and the benefits students have gained in this semester. Teachers and students have adapted to and taken to the flipped classroom teaching and learning format. The focus in the next semester will be on the refinement of activities and the development of students’ thinking.

After that, Lin Jing, the leader of the SSI-L project, exchanged ideas with teachers from the two partner schools on the details of work plans for the next semester. She pointed out that progress has been made this semester in the transformation of teaching methods, scientific argumentation, scientific modeling and other teaching aspects, and that more attention should be paid to deepening the teaching of scientific argumentation and scientific modeling in the next semester, and analyzing students’ discourse to guide the development of students’ scientific thinking.

At the meeting, teachers from the two partner schools also learned from each other’s good ideas and practices, making their subsequent work much clearer.
