2021年11月10日至11日，“2021中国-新西兰地方教育论坛”通过线上线下相结合的方式，在北京一零一中教育集团圆明园校区召开。来自海淀区、新西兰惠灵顿市的20余位中小学校长、专家、教师，围绕“激活生命·赋能未来：疫后全球化创新人才培养”主题展开对话交流。在主旨报告中，北京一零一中教育集团总校长陆云泉做了题为《学校创新人才培养的实践和思考》的发言，分享一零一中在创新人才培养方面的思考规划、实践策略和实践成果。
在教师论坛上，北京师范大学中国基础教育质量监测协同创新中心科学提升部主任林静作为社会性科学议题学习项目（Socio-scientific Issues Learning，SSI-L）发起人，作了“以社会性科学议题促学生素养发展”的专题报告，介绍了利用课程构建和数字化资源，支持科学教师提升教育质量和科学素养评价方式与内容的创新，通过评价促进中小学教学革新等内容。
北京一零一中SSI-L项目核心成员赵燕主持教师论坛。北京一零一中SSI-L项目核心成员、国际教育中心副主任贾婧婧报告了“绿色城市SSI课程设计与实施”，介绍了北京一零一中如何培养学生使用多学科知识、交叉学科内容解决社会性科学议题，培养学生跨文化理解的能力，培养学生运用基本科学知识解决社会生活中真实情景的问题，提高发展迁移能力。
疫后时期，全球正经历着新的变局和变化，对未来世界教育发展提出新的要求。SSI-L项目的报告内容，引发了双方的共鸣。双方的学术探讨，将为两国的基础教育和创新人才培养教育赋能。

From November 10 to 11, 2021, the “2021 China-New Zealand Local Education Forum” was held online and offline in Bejing 101 Middle School, Old Summer Palace Campus. More than 20 principles, experts, and teachers from Haidian District and Wellington, New Zealand attended the forum. They exchanged views on the theme of “Energizing Life and Empowering the Future: Cultivating Innovative talents in post-pandemic globally”. In the keynote report, Lu Yunquan, the general principal of Beijing 101 Middle School Education Group, made a speech entitled “Practice and Thinking of Cultivating Innovative Talent in Schools”. He shared the plans, strategies, and results of Beijing 101 Middle School.
At the teacher’s session, Dr. Lin Jing, the director of the Science Improvement Department of China Collaborative Innovation Center of Assessment for Basic Education Quality, as the initiator of Social-scientific Issues Learning (SSI-L), delivered a speech on “Promoting students’ literacy development through Social-scientific Issues Learning”. In the presentation, she introduced ways to improve science teachers’ teaching ability and to stimulate innovation on the content and the evaluation method of science literacy through scientific curriculum design and digital resources. She also mentioned that it would be effective to achieve innovative teaching in primary schools and secondary schools through evaluation.
Zhao Yan, a core member of the SSI-L project in Beijing 101 Middle School, hosted the teachers’ forum. Jia Jingjing, a core member of the SSI-L project and deputy director of International Education Center of Beijing 101 Middle School reported “SSI Curriculum Design and Implementation of Green City”. She introduced how Beijing 101 Middle School trains students to use multidisciplinary knowledge and interdisciplinary content to solve social-scientific issues and to cultivate their ability on cross-cultural communication. She also introduced their experience on encouraging students to solve real-life social problems by using basic scientific knowledge and finally to improve their ability on knowledge transferring and promoting development.
In the post-pandemic period, the world is changing quickly, which put forward new requirements for the development of global education. The above SSI-L project reports struck a chord on both sides. Such academic discussion will empower basic education and stimulate innovative talent training in both countries.
