2021年7月6日上午8:30-12:00,北京师范大学社会性科学议题学习项目北京区域组在北京市昌平一中博雅礼堂举行研讨会。北京区域负责人彭梦华老师、SSI-L项目负责人林静老师、学科专家于晓雅老师等出席指导,北京教育学院于晓雅老师和昌平一中周有祥老师主持本次会议线上线下的研讨,北京区域基地校骨干教师参与了本次研讨。
北京市昌平一中潘月春校长致辞欢迎了参会专家和教师,昌平一中课程与教学中心主任、SSI-L项目校执行人周有祥老师发言介绍了该校对SSI-L项目的理解和规划,着重说明了该校前期准备工作中对团队的组建和方案的设计,也谈及了该校在工作中的五点困惑,并由彭梦华老师一一解答。

北京师范大学第二附属中学韩立新老师介绍该校“保留传统还是开拓创新?”SSI议题。韩老师介绍该校在SSI-L课程中把科学、艺术和议题三者串联起来,并分享了该校在教师准备工作、课程实施、学生成果等方面的经验。

北京市一〇一中学赵燕老师介绍该校“校园纸张回收”SSI议题,展示了一段学生动手制作再生纸的视频,介绍了该议题实施中的经验,除了这一重点介绍的议题之外,该校还开发了另外两个SSI议题“北京市垃圾分类执行现状调研”“圆明园垃圾分类执行现状调研”,形成了该校以“垃圾分类”为核心的议题群。

华东政法大学附属中学闵佳老师通过腾讯会议室远程参会,介绍该校“白色污染的防治”SSI议题。该议题主要是从物理、化学角度开展研究,项目的实施过程跨学科、跨学段,并且加入了历史、地理等学科研究,从时间、空间角度去探究“限塑令”的实施。学生合作讨论出最终的议题结果。

北京市第九中学贾倩老师介绍该校“多学科多维度分析新型冠状病毒的科学防控”SSI-L议题。该议题着重通过动手实验的方式说明疫情防控措施的科学性,该议题与学生生活联系紧密、学生动手参与感强,激发了学生的研究兴趣。

首都师范大学附属育新学校李新伟老师介绍该校“传统文化教育”项目,“民族手工艺”和“非遗”专题中,学生体验了中国结、铸剑、紫砂壶、苏绣等中国传统技艺,“服装”专题总览中华民族的服装发展演变历史,并展望当今的服装设计,“交往”专题则回顾了古代人礼仪、沟通与情绪的智慧。

林静老师对研讨会进行了总结,再次强调在SSI-L的议题开发与实施中需要秉持的理念和原则,突出议题的科学性、社会性、伦理性、开放性,加强学生的动手参与以提升学生的核心素养,立德树人。林静老师还与在场各校探讨了下一步工作的内容,包括议题的开发实施、课例的撰写等,提出了对基地校的更高期待。会议最后,林静老师和彭梦华老师为于晓雅老师和周有祥老师颁发了学科指导专家聘书荣誉证书,为会议报告教师颁发了荣誉证书。

On the morning of July 6, 2021, from 8:30 to 12:00, the Beijing Group of the Socio-scientific Issues Learning Project of Beijing Normal University held a seminar in Boya Auditorium of Changping No. 1 High School. The regional leader Mr. Peng Menghua, SSI-L project leader Dr. Lin Jing, and subject expert Ms. Yu Xiaoya guided the seminar. Ms. Yu Xiaoya from Beijing Institute of Education, together with Mr. Zhou Youxiang from Changping No. 1 High School, hosted the online-and-offline seminar, which was participated by a large number of backbone teachers from partner schools in Beijing.
Ms. Pan Chunyue, the Principal of Changping No.1 High School gave a speech to welcome the participating experts and teachers. Mr. Zhou Youxiang, Director of the Center of Curriculum and Teaching of Changping No.1 High School and SSI-L Program Executive, then lectured on the school’s understanding and planning of the SSI-L program, highlighting the team formation and program design in the preliminary preparation work. He also talked about the five confusions in the school’s work, which were answered in sequence by Mr. Peng Menghua.
Mr. Han Lixin from the Second High School Attached to Beijing Normal University introduced the school’s SSI-L project, “Preserving Tradition or Pioneering Innovation?”. He talked about the school’s SSI-L curriculum, which links science, art and topics, and shared their experience in teacher preparation, curriculum implementation and student outcomes.
Ms. Zhao Yan from Beijing 101 Middle School introduced the school’s SSI-L project, “Paper Recycling on Campus”, by showing a video of students making recycled paper and sharing the experience in implementing the program. In addition to this one, the school also developed two other SSI-L activities, “Research on the Status of Garbage Sorting Implementation in Beijing” and “Research on the Status of Garbage Sorting Implementation in Yuanmingyuan”, forming a cluster of topics with “garbage sorting” as the core within the school.
Ms. Min Jia from the High School Affiliated to East China University of Political Science and Law participated remotely through the Tencent conference room to introduce his school’s SSI-L project on “White Pollution Prevention”. This project was designed to carry out the research in terms of physics and chemistry. The implementation process was interdisciplinary and cross-curricular, added by studies from history and geography, in a way to investigate the implementation of “plastic limit order” from the perspective of time and space. Students worked together to discuss the results.
Ms. Jia Qian from Beijing No. 9 High School presented their SSI-L project, “Multidisciplinary and Multidimensional Analysis of Scientific Prevention and Control of Novel Coronavirus”. The issue focused on the scientific nature of pandemic prevention and control measures through hands-on experiments, which were closely related to students’ daily lives and stimulated their interest in research.
Ms. Li Xinwei from Yuxin School Attached to CNU introduced the school’s “Traditional Culture Education” program. In the topics of “Ethnic Crafts” and “Intangible Cultural Heritage”, students experienced traditional Chinese arts and crafts, such as Chinese knots, sword casting, Purple Clay Pot, and Suzhou embroidery; the topic of “Clothing” gave an overview on the development and evolution of Chinese clothing and shed light on the design of today’s clothing; and the topic of “Communication” reviewed the wisdom of etiquette, communication, and emotions of ancient people.
Dr. Lin Jing summarized the seminar, re-emphasizing the concepts and principles that need to be upheld in the development and implementation of SSI-L project, highlighting the scientific, social, ethical, and open nature of the topics, strengthening students’ hands-on participation to enhance their core competencies, and establishing moral education. She also discussed the next steps with the teachers present, including the development and implementation of the issues and the writing of class examples, and raised higher expectations for the partner schools. Finally, Dr. Lin Jing and Mr. Peng Menghua awarded honorary certificates of appointment as subject guidance experts to Ms. Yu Xiaoya and Mr. Zhou Youxiang, and honorary certificates to the teachers who reported on the seminar.
