为了更好地促进与SSI学习项目申报学校的沟通交流,SSI学习项目组协调组织了申报学校校长会。校长会于2020年6月23日上午9:00-11:00,在“云端”以视频会议方式召开。本次与会的共有60多位来自全国30余所学校的校长和学校团队联络人,他们分别来自北京、浙江、山东、山西、江苏、河北、黑龙江、四川等多个省份或地区。出席会议的还有科学素养提升联盟(AISL)校长组组长暨北京一零一中学教育集团校长陆云泉,山西、山东区域合作负责人以及SSI学习项目的专家指导组成员。项目负责人暨中国基础教育质量监测协同创新中心科学提升部主任林静主持会议。
会议主要包括三项内容。首先,AISL联盟校组长暨北京一零一中学教育集团校长陆云泉针对SSI学习项目发表讲话。陆云泉对于由北京师范大学中国基础教育质量监测协同创新中心与美国北卡罗来纳大学教堂山分校大学联合发起的SSI学习项目给予充分肯定。陆云泉从家国情怀和国际视野、人与自然的关系等视角出发,结合全球PISA2021对创造性思维的关注与要求,强调SSI学习在培养学生社会责任担当、提升学生整合性科学素养中的重要作用。接着,林静从项目背景、目标、组织架构与任务四个方面详细介绍SSI学习项目。林静强调为保障项目切实有效落实,SSI学习项目实行校长负责制。最后,与会校长和学校团队联络人针对SSI学习项目展开提问、讨论与交流。校长们饶有兴致地从项目暑期培训的内容与形式等方面提出问题,项目负责人林静与专家指导组成员对问题一一进行了细致回应与探讨交流。
本次会议通过与申报学校校长的沟通交流,使申报学校进一步了解SSI学习项目的背景、目标与任务。下一步,项目组将一一与各申报学校开展进一步的沟通与商议,确定全国首批SSI学习项目基地校,并与基地校共同签署项目合作协议。
To better facilitate the communication with the applicant schools, the SSI Learning Project team organized a principal meeting via video conference from 9:00am to 11:00am on June 23, 2020. There were more than 60 principals and school team liaisons joining the meeting, who were from over 30 schools in Zhejiang, Shandong, Shanxi, Jiangsu, Hebei, Heilongjiang, Sichuan and many other provinces or regions. Lu Yunquan, Head of the Principals Group of the Alliance for Improving Scientific Literacy (AISL) and Principal of the Beijing 101 Middle School Education Group, together with the regional cooperation managers in Shanxi and Shandong, as well as the advisor group members of the SSI Learning Project also attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Lin Jing, Project Leader and Director of the Science Improvement Department of China Collaborative Innovation Center of Assessment for Basic Education.
The meeting included three main topics. To begin with, Lu Yunquan, Head of the AISL Principals Group and Principal of Beijing 101 Middle School Education Group, made a speech on the SSI Learning Project. He gave full recognition to the project jointly launched by China Collaborative Innovation Center of Assessment for Basic Education at Beijing Normal University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. From the perspectives of family-country and international vision, as well as the relationship between humans and nature, and by combining the requirements and concerns of the global PISA2021 to creative thinking, Lu Yunquan emphasized the significance of SSI learning in developing students’ social responsibility and enhancing the integration of their scientific literacy. Then, Lin Jing gave a detailed introduction to the SSI Learning Project in terms of its background, objectives, organizational structure and tasks. She pointed that the SSI Learning Project will adopt principal responsibility system to ensure its effective implementation. Finally, the participating principals and liaisons initiated questions, discussions and exchanges on the SSI Learning Project. The Principals raised questions with interest about the content and format of the SSI summer training program. Project Leader Lin Jing and the expert group members responded to those questions and exchanged ideas with each other.
Through the communication with the principals of the applicant schools, this meeting helped the applicant schools understand more about the background, objectives and mission of the SSI Learning Project. As a next step, the project team will conduct further communication and discussion with each applicant school to determine the first batch of SSI Learning Project partner schools in China, and sign project collaboration agreement with the partner schools.
