2024年6月29日9:00-12:00,北京师范大学“社会性科学议题学习”项目“撷英计划”组在北京师范大学京师大厦召开期末总结会,对本学期SSI-L《全球变暖》课程教学工作情况、存在的问题进行研讨交流与反思总结,并商议下一步工作计划。项目办成员、两所合作校团队教师、北京师范大学基础教育发展管理部教育改革试验办公室副主任刘云白帆老师参与本次会议,SSI-L项目负责人、中国基础教育质量监测协同创新中心科学提升部主任林静主持会议。
首先,两所合作校团队教师代表对本学期SSI-L课程教学情况、收获及存在的问题进行总结,团队其他教师做补充。北京师范大学附属实验学校王成老师围绕学生参与课程学习的转变与收获介绍了课程教学情况,提出教学中存在的困惑与问题并进行了反思。北京师范大学亚太实验学校武慧娜老师围绕课程主题内容详细地介绍了每个主题内容的教学情况、教学存在的不足、学生的转变及教师的收获,并围绕教学实际与学生情况总体分析了存在的问题及改进措施。两所合作校教师还围绕SSI-L课程教学情况展开了交流,充分肯定了SSI-L课程促教师与学生发展的教育价值。
随后,基教部刘云白帆老师从项目定位、计划与目的同与会教师进行交流。刘老师表示“社会性科学议题学习”项目从实施过程到阶段性总结的工作都做得非常扎实,切实为教育实验改革做出了贡献并对参与项目的学校及老师表达了感谢,期待项目有更多成果的产出。
最后,项目负责人林静老师对会议进行总结,基于两所合作校情况提出了各校具体可产出的成果,并与教师交流了细节,同时也提出了下一步工作的计划与愿景,期待团队能有进一步的突破,更好地彰显SSI-L促师生发展的教育价值。
On June 29, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the Xieying Program of SSI-L Project held its end-of-semester work meeting at the Jing Shi Building of Beijing Normal University. The meeting focused on discussing, reflecting on, and summarizing the teaching activities and challenges of the SSI-L course Global Warming during the semester, while also deliberating on the next steps. Participants included project office members, teaching teams from two partner schools, and Liu Yun Baifan, Deputy Director of the Office of Educational Reform Experiments at the Department of Basic Education Development and Management, Beijing Normal University. The meeting was chaired by Lin Jing, SSI-L Project Leader and Director of the Science Enhancement Division at the National Center for Educational Quality Monitoring and Collaboration in Basic Education.
First, representatives from the teaching teams of the two partner schools summarized the teaching progress, gains, and challenges of the SSI-L courses this semester, with supplementary comments from other team members. Wang Cheng, a teacher at the Experimental High School Attached To Beijing Normal University, described the course teaching situation focusing on the shifts in student engagement and learning outcomes, raised the confusions and problems in teaching and reflected on them. Wu Huina, a teacher at the Asia-Pacific Experimental School of Beijing Normal University, provided a detailed account of the teaching process for each thematic content area, analyzing shortcomings, student transformation, and teacher gains. She also presented an overall analysis of existing issues and proposed improvement measures based on practical teaching experiences and student contexts. Teachers from both partner schools engaged in an exchange about their SSI-L teaching experiences, unanimously affirming the educational value of SSI-L courses in promoting the development of both teachers and students.
Following these presentations, Liu Yun Baifan from the Department of Basic Education Development and Management engaged in discussions with the attending teachers, focusing on the project's positioning, planning, and goals. Liu praised the Socio-Scientific Issues Learning project for its solid work throughout its implementation and interim summaries, acknowledging its substantial contributions to educational reform experiments. She expressed gratitude to the participating schools and teachers for their efforts and shared her anticipation for the project to yield even more fruitful outcomes.
Finally, Lin Jing, the project leader, summarized the meeting by proposing specific outcomes that could be achieved by each partner school based on their individual contexts. She discussed detailed suggestions with the teachers and outlined plans and aspirations for the next phase of work. Lin expressed hope for further breakthroughs by the team to better highlight the educational value of SSI-L in fostering the development of both teachers and students.
